Fight Response: In times of challenge, like election season, feeling a drive to fight for justice is a powerful response. Cultivating a mindfulness practice can help channel this energy effectively, bringing clarity to our actions. By practicing mindful awareness, we can align our efforts with values like fairness, equity, and inclusion. Take a few deep breaths, in your mind, identify and focus on how you want to show up in your relationships, community, and in your internal self. In your body, observe areas that get fired up, use progressive muscle relaxation to expand those tight parts and release tension. In your faith, ask God to search your heart and mind and inform where you should focus, to fight the good fight. Meditate on passages on God's justice, mercy, and the prophets. Say them aloud slowly so you can hear them, connect with the passages at the heart and soul level. Let your purpose unfold with awareness, serving your values with intention.
